About Us - Dance Council South Africa

Our Vision & Mission

The South African Dance Board NPC is a national entity representing the interests of the people of South Africa with a clear mandate and vision of developing and implementing policies guided by good practices, transparency, and nation-building strategy.

We are a multicultural dance council representing all South Africans, regardless of color, race, or creed. Our vision is clear: we envision a South Africa where dance is recognized as a cognitive discipline, with a clear development strategy from early childhood to the intermediate stage until the professional level.

Our mission is to integrate all dance genres, unify all practitioners, and create an environment conducive to fully exposing the identity of what is in the development of the social and cultural environment.
